Field Day
For those that aren't aware, the Annual Amatuer Radio Field Day is when Amateur Radio Operators demonstrate to the World their capability and preparedness in support of Local, State & National Emergencies. The photo's are some of the events recorded during past LBARA Field Day Activities. In 1998 we were televised live on local Channel 45. A copy of the tape is available for anyone interested.

This is a 24 hour around the clock program where the Club Members try and make as many contacts as possible. It takes in all of North America and U.S States, so busy-busy-busy. Our Club operates as a 5 station Unit and we do just about everything, including QRP operation. Hard work?, not really, actually we are a little pampered, the girls put together the nicest breakfast one could ask for and they do it with a smile - so next time someone asks are you, are going to participate in the Annual Field Day Event you want to consider what I just told you. Also take a few minutes to review a TV braodcast of one of our past Field Days. The board can help you with a copy.
